Evaluation of the Ugandan Government’s Communication Strategies of the COVID-19 Pandemic

This study focuses on the communication strategies employed by Ugandan government in addressing COVID-19 pandemic. The used a mixed method approach, including interviews, questionnaires and content analysis. A sample size of 400 was drawn for survey, five community leaders health workers were interviewed 270 media reports findings showed that Uganda did not engage dialogue at grassroots level. Secondly, it found generally reported spread virus number daily deaths. However, also largely supported complemented government’s efforts. Finally, little or no effort made to with communities before major preventive protective measures announced enforced government. It suggested engagement must be carried out decisions are if they effective future.
